I'm passionate about people, leadership and transformation. Here's a bit more about me and my journey so far.


I found my passion for people in a college job where I witnessed the negative impact of a toxic culture. Combined with what I learned through my Business Studies course, I knew that a career in Human Resources was for me.

 

I believed it was possible to create a win-win environment for both businesses and employees. So I started at grassroots level, stuffing envelopes with application forms and completing contracts of employment. I worked my way up through HR Management roles and into strategic HR Business Partner positions, supporting Senior Executives to develop their people strategy and strengthen organisational performance.

Seeing the Bigger Picture

I love taking a big-picture view of a business to understand its operations. Only from this perspective can I effectively advise on interventions that will help achieve a business's goals.

 

Throughout my career, this approach has enabled me to support leaders through complex organisational challenges, helping improve people management, strengthen employee experience and create sustainable culture change.

 

Working with organisations has reinforced my belief that strong leadership and intentional workplace culture can transform both business performance and employee wellbeing.


Alongside my corporate career, I found myself in the world of personal development, particularly after having children and wanting to be the best version of myself for them.

 

After a 20-year corporate career, Joyful Minds was born in July 2020. Now I get to combine all that I've learned about business, people and change to help create workplaces where people thrive.


Today, I work with organisations to develop leaders, improve employee experience and build cultures where people can do their best work.

I bring with me years of experience in people management, developing high-performing teams, leadership development, change management, organisational development and culture change, alongside a passion for people that has remained constant throughout my career.

 

I have worked alongside Executives, Senior Leaders and Managers across a variety of industries including travel and tourism, FMCG, retail and the voluntary sector.

 

This breadth of experience allows me to support organisations with practical, people-focused solutions that align culture, leadership and business objectives.

I see that the challenges organisations face - such as mental health issues, fast-paced crisis management, navigating political and social challenges, toxic cultures, inequality and ethical concerns - mirror those in our communities and society.
